ANXIETY THERAPIST IN-PERSON IN COLUMBUS + ONLINE ACROSS OHIO
The worry and fear constantly swirling in your mind make you second guess your every move.
Whenever you’re forced to make a decision or get out of your comfort zone, your inner critic makes sure to tell you all the reasons you shouldn’t feel confident. Maybe you avoid certain activities, places, or interactions because you’d rather not deal with the internal spiral that happens whenever you face these things. Maybe it’s hard for you to express your needs or thoughts to others because you fear how they might react, which often leads to putting other people’s needs and feelings ahead of your own. Though you want to feel more comfortable in your skin, anxiety always seems to hold you back from reaching your potential.
Maybe you’ve been struggling with…
Panic or anxiety attacks
Socializing & feeling uncomfortable talking to others
Adjusting to a recent life change like moving or starting a new job
A specific phobia holding you back from living the way you want to
Anxiety affecting your performance at work & your personal relationships
Getting stuck on certain worries or distressing thoughts
Through therapy, it is possible to quiet your anxious thoughts and get back in the driver’s seat of your life.
HOW IT WORKS
Therapy with me begins by getting to know you—your feelings, how you're doing in life, and what you hope to achieve. We'll talk about the symptoms you're experiencing and what you want to focus on, which can change depending on what you feel you have the energy to tackle in each session. I want to understand your unique needs and tailor our work to suit what matters most to you. I'll regularly check in to make sure we're on the right track and you're getting the support you need.
I draw from a range of proven techniques, including CBT, ACT, mindfulness, and meditation. Together, we'll decide which methods feel right for you, and we'll often use a mix of approaches to suit your needs. With CBT, we'll set specific goals and work towards breaking patterns that are hindering you from living your most fulfilling life. ACT involves exploring acceptance, staying present, understanding your values, and taking committed actions that align with those values. We'll also use mindfulness and meditation techniques to help you stay present in your life and find more compassion for yourself.
Throughout our work together, you'll find a nonjudgmental, safe space where you can express yourself freely. We'll navigate any roadblocks that come up, and adjust our approach to suit your needs, values, and goals. You have the freedom to choose what works best for you, and together, we'll find the path that helps you move forward.
