Therapy is tailored to a client’s specific needs. Cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), is often used, especially for anxiety, depression or other mood issues. Play therapy, behavioral therapy, mindfulness, and insight-oriented therapy are also frequently integrated into the treatment process.
The dynamics of the family relationships are assessed and solutions for improving the system are the focus of treatment. This is often used as a complimentary approach to individual counseling.
Individual sessions with parents are provided as needed to help with parenting strategies and to discuss your child’s care and ways that you can be helpful in the treatment process.
