Neuropsychological Evaluation

  • A comprehensive assessment of how the brain processes information from the world around it. Results provide a detailed picture of someone’s thinking and learning style, including strengths and weaknesses. Recommendations based on this profile provide a road map for interventions.
  • Neuropsychological evaluations are completed for many reasons, including initial evaluation of behavior or learning problems; assessment of functioning in attention disorders, dyslexia and other learning disorders, and autism spectrum disorders; and evaluation of the effects of brain injuries or other neurological conditions.
  • The evaluation process includes:
    • Clinical interview
    • Behavioral measures completed by multiple sources
    • In-depth testing
    • Feedback meeting to discuss findings and recommendations
    • Comprehensive written report with findings and detailed recommendations
    • Consultation with school or classroom observation

ADHD evaluations

  • Clinical interviews with parents and child
  • Behavioral measures completed by multiple sources (e.g., parents, teachers, caregivers)
  • Computerized testing of attention
  • Classroom observation if needed
  • Feedback meeting to discuss findings and recommendations
  • Written summary of findings

Forensic Neuropsychological Evaluation
